Budapest - The Royal Palace
This structure was rebuilt after its destruction in 1945. It now appears
as it did under the Hapsburgs in the 19th century. It houses the Castle
Museum and the Hungarian National Gallery as well as the National Library.

The Royal Palace - Budapest
This is the last palace of the Hungarian kings. Its Baroque walls rise above
ruins of three ancient royal residences. Ruins of the older palaces were
discovered after WWII, when the newer Royal Palace was badly damaged and
required renovation. |
