Krakow-The Old Synagogue

Dating from the 1570's, the Old Synagogue is the oldest surviving synagogue in Poland. It was ransacked by the Nazis, restored in the 1950's and now houses a museum.

Old Synagogue - Jewish Museum

It is thought that the Old Synagogue was built in the 14th or 15th century. Built by Jewish refugees from Bohemia, it was patterned after the Altneuschul in Prague.

The Temple Synagogue

This Neo-Renaissance structure was founded in 1869 by the local Association of Progressive Jews. It is sometimes called the Reform Temple Synagogue.

The interior is quite ornate. The set of 36 stained glass windows were restored in the 1970s.
