Arrival in Stockholm

We left Boston Thursday evening and had a pretty uneventful trip over to Amsterdam and then to Stockholm.  We got to the airport at noon, and finally got checked into our hotel around 2.  After a short nap, we met Karin and she took us through "old town" to the T to get to her house.

Cool buildings in Stortorget. Stortorget is the central square in Gamla Stan (Old Town) in Stockholm. Some of these buildings date back to the 1500s and the Swedish revolt against foreign rulers.
Karin met us at our hotel after we had a short nap and walked us across Gamla Stan. Here she is with one of her dogs and her sister's dog.
A classic narrow pedestrian street leading out of Stortorget.
One of the major pedestrian shopping streets that intersects the last one, still on/in Gamla Stan.
Stockholm also has the T! I felt right at home.
Here, Peter and Karin are waiting for the train that will take us to where Karin lives.
Here's Karin house from the path leading up to it. It is nicely set back from the road in a quiet wooded area.

Karin and Magnus made us an excellent dinner!
Karin wanted to prove that her rhodadendron was indeed blooming. Here's the proof.
