Al - Krakow Market Square

Krakow was the only major city in Poland to come through WWII essentially undamaged. Ironically, it has been faced with major environmental problems resulting from the communist regime developing one of the largest steelworks in Europe in Krakow's suburbs. However, recent initiatives in pollution reduction have made Krakow's air cleaner than it has been in decades.
