Tillamook Cheese Factory
On the way back from the coast, we drove down to the Tillamook Cheese Factory for a tour and some cheese!

Cheese Assembly Line
A couple of women who must eat a fair amount of the product cut the big pieces of cheese into smaller pieces of cheese.

Mt. St. Helens
Friday we drove up to Mt. St. Helens. We went to the west side first. This is the view from the Visitor Center.

Crater/Spirit Lake
After the visitor center we drove back south and around to the east into the blast zone. The ground there is all small rocks and ash.  See a panorama from here!

Spirit Lake
From the same vantage point, but looking to the right, facing away from the crater. Spirit Lake is partially covered with tree trunks.

Viewpoint
A nice viewpoint along the road.  To see what is going on now, check out the Volcanocam!

Bean Pose
Debbie in a Bean Pose on our hiking trail. Also a good picture of all the dead and knocked-down trees.

Lake & Volcano
Here's what Debbie was pointing at. The sun was starting to go down, but we still got some great views of the volcano.

Blast Zone
A wide angle to the east of the volcano was levelled by the blast when Mt. St. Helens blew its top off on May 18, 1980.

Vineyard
Saturday we went into the Willamette Valley to go wine tasting. This is from the Shafer Vineyard.
