Kim at Cannon Beach
Kim got a little wet wading into the ocean. In the back is Haystack Rock, one of the more well-known sea stacks.

Oregon Coast
From Cannon Beach, we drove south along the coast, headed for Tillamook. This is just one of many beautiful vistas along the road.

Plaid Pants!
Kim's jeans got wet at the beach so she had to get these excellent plaid pants.

Cheese Factory
We got to Tillamook on the late side, but were pleased to discover that the cheese factory was open until 8 so we could still go for a tour and taste some cheese.

Wahclella Falls
Saturday afternoon, we drove into the Columbia River Gorge to do a short hike to Wahclella (pronounced like walk-leela) Falls.

Kim and the falls
The name says it all

Along the trail
Some rough water as the river makes its way to the Columbia.

River crossing
The trail loops back from the falls, partially on the other side of the river.

Multnomah Falls
Just off the highway on our way back was Multnomah Falls. I think it's the second tallest in North America, at a total of 611 feet.

The Columbia River Gorge
And finally, a view of the Columbia River Gorge from a lookout point along the scenic/historic highway.
