More of the modern area of the city. Karin wanted to make sure we saw more than just the touristy "old and pretty" parts of the city.

In Swedish, this square is called "the stick" because of this odd sculpture. At night, it is supposed to be lit up from the inside, but apparently they've had trouble making that work.

On the bridge to Helgeandsholmen (a small island just before Gamla Stan) we got a nice view of the Parliament building.

Here's finally a shot of the long side of the palace. It's really quite spacious.

We walked back into old town to find this very narrow street. Karin got in the picture to show just how narrow it was. After this, Peter and I returned to our hotel and Karin and Magnus went off for waffle cones.

Back at our hotel, I took a picture out the window. We relaxed a little then went out for ice cream ourselves (second dessert!) and ate in Stortorget. We relaxed a little more by the water before returning to our hotel for the evening.
